The lab operates under the direction of VENOM.
Each piece is an experiment testing perception, identity and form.
Not all results can be explained.

VENOM
Visual artist and experimenter. Works alone, mostly at night, mostly in black.
MEDIUM
Analogue first
Charcoal, ink, oil, pigment, torn paper and photography, finished with restrained digital work.
PROCESS
Test, ruin, keep
Every piece begins as a study with no intended outcome. Layers are added until something resists being removed. What survives becomes the work.
CURRENT STATUS
Experiments ongoing
Experiment 001 is active in the studio. Observations are published as they happen.
She grew up drawing on the backs of things that were not hers.
The red came before the work. The work caught up.
She still keeps every failed piece in a flat file under the window.
